Catalyst Cooks

Make. Food. Happen!

Jen the Catalyst: About December 5, 2009

In March of 2012, Jen moved her website!  Please go to our new home HERE!

In 2010, Jen Antila traded her corporate corner cubicle for her kitchen!

Embracing a life-long love of cooking, Jen founded Catalyst Cooks to share that joy with others.  She can’t wait to have fun with you in her kitchen, at Cooks of Crocus Hill where she is a culinary assistant and teacher, or at Parley Lake Winery where she manages the Tasting Room.

If you want bit more background-

I’d been working in the corporate world for 18 years and decided to take the plunge into entrepreneurship.  After much soul searching, I realized that I loved and missed cooking so much, and I wanted to better utilize my natural ability to make fun things happen.  Thus- Catalyst Cooks was born!

In the beginning of this blog, I documented my experiences in hopes that others would find it interesting.  If you read back to the early blog posts, you’ll find some interesting information on my path to establishing my business.  There are some great stories about many company name and my job title changes, pursing a trademark for Catalyst Cooks, and learning lots about business fundamentals while enjoying a great deparature from work “before” to work “after” corporate life.

I hope you enjoy my story, and the story of the birth of my new business- Catalyst Cooks!
